This page will serve as a basic how to play guide for Blazing Sails. While there is very little information available at this time, we urge you to check back often, as new information is being added all the time! Feel free to edit this guide with any tips, tricks, and suggestions.
Main Menu And UI[ | ]
The Games Interface and UI is an easy to navigate Interface. At first, it might seem a bit overwhelming. But dont worry. After reading this section. The UI will be much more easier to navigate.
The Main Lobby
1. There are 3 buttons at the top of the screen. The 3 button says Ship, Pirate and play. 2. The Person in the middle of your screen is your Pirate. You may customize the pirate by adding cosmetics you earn from playing the game.
3. To the right of your screen is the friends list. You can invite friends to play with you by pressing the "Epic+" or "Steam+" icon
4. The Gear Icon at the top left corner is the settings, and the power button icon at the top left corner is used to exit out of the game.
5. The Cards Underneath the gear and power button icon is where you can see news about the game. The Card underneath it is where you select what ship you want. Currently there are only 2 ships, but more will be added in the future.
6. The Pirate ship behind you is the pirate ship you are going to use if you start your own crew.
Play[ | ]
Once all friends in your crew have hit ready or if solo you can press "Play" to see 6 options
Play Battle Royale[ | ]
Immediately put your crew into a queue to join the next available match.
Tutorial[ | ]
Play through the tutorial to learn the basics of the game
Practice[ | ]
Immediately go to an island with all weapons and ship to practice using them (cannot be played with friends in your crew).
Host Custom Game[ | ]
Set up a custom game (Battle Royale or Gun Game) for others to join

In Game Commands For Server Host (and players turned into Moderators)[ | ]
/help - Below Information
/s - Force start the game
/y - Skip the spawnscreen timer
/hh - Hide your HUD
/scam - Use the spectator cam
/p - Pause the start timer (useful when trying to figure out how to set up a lan game)
/r - Resume the start timer
/pd - Pause the deadzone (useful when trying to figure out the real game with lan players)
/die - Respawn (useful when stuck and no players able to bump you out of stuck state)
/a - Broadcast a serverside announcement
/unstuck - Respawn (if you are stuck in pre-game)
/weapons_test_spawn -
/pw - Change server password
/end_game_now - End the game immediately
/change_pre_game_cap - Use to change player cap during pre-game
/fleetmode - Change the gamemode to Fleet mode (experimental
/sn - Change the server name
/freeteams - Unlock all crews (no party lock, no conquest balance, no bans)
