Players can find all kind of cannon projectiles scattered throughout the map just like any other resource.
Here is an overview of their damage and speed.
Take into account that 1 ship damage translates in 3 wood needed to repair. So a normal cannonball will leave a hole that takes 15 wood to fix. Cannonballs can also do headshot damage.
